I wanna turbo my Jeep. I have been researching this to death and I don't see any good info to go off of. Most people down the idea saying just put a v8 blah blah blah. Well I wanna be different and I really only need a little more torque. I only plan to put a max of 3-5!psi boost. I also wanna set it up where it's spools between 1600-2600 rpms. That way it will be helpful on the trail. Also by running that low of boost I'm not exceeding the HP ratings of my tranny.

There isn't a straight bolt on kit for a 4 banger so I'm gonna have to price this together and have some custom fab done.

That is awesome! Seriously, I'd love to see this done.

Someone in another club has a turbo setup. I've never seen it but heard it's bad ass

I've got a ton of things to research for this project and a lot of Fabwork to prepare for. It will all be custom.

When I do this I want some help. I also want as many people there snapping pictures and shooting video. I wanna do a badass write up of this so other people can have an idea of the good, the bad, and the ugly of it.

Dude, you should see if Nickolai will come show you how to do it. He seems o have a good understanding of JY turbos and how to make them work.

There are several threads I've seen on different forums about using PT Cruiser turbos and manifolds. The only hard part about going FI on a Jeep is the tuning, pretty much no one tunes the JTEC, so you need to go stand alone.

None of the srt4 or pt cruiser manifolds will work because the 2.4 and 2.5 aren't even close. As far as tuning. Running 3-5 psi can run off stock ecu parameters. I will however upgrade the fuel pump and the injectors and open up the exhaust. It's very similar to when I rebuild the turbo systems when I worked at John Deere
